Finish, Polish, PolyFlow.

A step-by-step for modern polymer materials.

Today’s laboratories work with a growing range of polymer materials, from milled PMMA and 3D printed resins to conventionally fabricated restorations. Each material has its own finishing requirements, making a polishing workflow increasingly important for consistent results.

PolyFlow provides a complete polishing workflow, from contouring and removing processing marks to pre-polishing, polishing and the final high gloss finish. Each instrument is designed for a specific step in the workflow, helping technicians achieve consistent results.

  •  1. Preparation

Removal of supports from previously milled denture base.

Start with a digitally fabricated denture. After fabrication, retaining bars, supports and excess material is removed using a trimming carbide (H79FSQ.104.031).

  •  H79FSQ.104.031

The carbide’s finely toothed cross-cut geometry enables controlled material removal and reduces the risk of smearing associated with polymer materials.

Cleanly finished transitions create a strong foundation for the polishing steps that follow and help achieve a consistent finish.

  •  2. Pre-Polishing

    Coarse milling patterns are reduced.

The dark blue lamella wheel (96001C.104.210) reduces milling, pressure and processing marks and prepares the surface for polishing. The flexible lamella adapt to different contours and supports controlled finishing with minimal heat generation.

  •  3. Polishing

Refines the surface and reduces microstructures.

The light blue lamella wheel (96001M.104.210) reduces fine processing marks and creates an even shine. Anatomically shaped gingival structures are preserved as the finish is refined and prepared for high-gloss polishing.

  •  4. Work on details

    Polishing of interdental spaces.

The lens-shaped polisher (96002M.104.160) and the flame-shaped polisher (96003M.104.055) are used for margins, mucobuccal folds, papillae and interdental spaces. Both instruments allow precise finishing in hard-to-reach areas while helping preserve detailed anatomical features.

  •  5. High-shine polishing

    PolyFlow High Finishing.

Final high gloss polishing is performed with the PolyFlow polishing buff 9639.104.220 and PolyFlow diamond polishing paste. For details, the flame-shaped high-gloss polisher can be used to complete the workflow. Together, they create a uniform high-gloss finish while preserving anatomical detail.

Dressing -  Result

Dressing

The diamond dressing block (966) makes it easy to reshape the polishers and restore their original shape. Regular dressing helps maintain instrument performance and supports consistent results over time.

Result

The finished denture base features cleanly finished transitions, an even high gloss finish and preserved anatomical detail. Processing marks are minimized while function, aesthetics and ease of cleaning are supported over time.

PolyFlow brings consistency to the final finishing stage with a complete polishing workflow for modern polymer materials.

PolyFlow. A complete workflow for a perfect finish.

    PolyFlow – Designed for polymers.

From contouring to a high gloss finish.

PolyFlow brings consistency to the final finishing stage with a complete polishing workflow.

Whether you’re working with PMMA, high impact polymers, modern composites or 3D printed resins, every restoration deserves a consistent, high quality finish. Modern digital workflows have made denture manufacturing more predictable than ever. PolyFlow brings that same level of consistency to the finishing process.

PolyFlow guides users through every step, from contouring and pre polishing to a high gloss finish. Each stage builds on the last, and every instrument is designed for a specific purpose. The result is a repeatable workflow for splints, dentures, temporary restorations and other polymer based restorations.

The distinctive wave shaped instrument block visually reinforces the workflow and intuitively guides users from one step to the next.
