All-Ceramic Veneers
Discover Komet’s extensive selection of instruments designed for precision and safe application.
Ceramic veneers have become a well-established alternative to more invasive restoration methods. Initially reserved for labial and aesthetic treatments, their application has significantly expanded. Today, a clear distinction is made between labial veneers with varying preparation geometries and surrounds, and functional veneers designed for the palatal surfaces of the canines.
A key to clinical success with ceramic veneers lies in systematic, substance-preserving preparation—ideally limited to the enamel. This approach remains one of the greatest challenges in veneer therapy.
Following enlargement of the preparation, several veneer designs can be differentiated:
-
Short wrap design: purely labial veneers
-
Medium wrap design: veneers extending interproximally to the contact point
-
Long wrap design: veneers covering interproximal areas and incisal edges
-
Full wrap design (360°): veneers that cover the entire dental surface while remaining within the enamel
-
Palato-incisal functional veneers: typically placed on the canines
