Komet 5847 is a tapered shoulder-shaped, super coarse (black) grit diamond used for preparing the tooth for a shoulder crown preparation.
The 5847 bur can be used for: Preparing the tooth for a Procelain Fused to Metal (PFM) crown. This 5847 tapered shoulderis also available in the following: Fine grit (red)- 8847 Medium grit-847 Coarse grit(green )-6847 Due to its small size the 5847.FG.012 can also be use for breaking contact. Tip: Use the 5847KR which is a similar shape to the 5847 but has rounded edges, providing a rounder internal line angle and can be used on all-ceramic crowns.
