OS25M - Oscillating IPR Disc

Features:
OS25M is a patented 60° oscillating segment disc for interproximal enamel reduction (IPR). Developed in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Jost-Brinkmann of Berlin Charité Dental Hospital, it is designed for use with the Komet OS30 oscillating contra-angle. The disc is available with one- or two-sided coating, as well as a honeycomb diamond design. Its 1.4 cm radius and 30° pivoting angle enable use in exceptionally narrow, hard-to-reach areas without a disc guard. Colour rings and laser marking on the shank enable easy identification. Benefits:
OS25M removes 0.2 mm to 0.4 mm of interproximal substance as required. Its oscillating movement helps preserve soft tissue and minimise the risk of gingival injury. Unlike full-radius rotary discs, which require a disc guard and can measure up to 2.2 cm in diameter, the OS disc provides optimal visibility and efficient material removal. Its honeycomb structure also supports precise debris removal.

Recommendations for use:
Use OS25M with the oscillating Komet OS30 contra-angle and copious spray cooling. At maximum micromotor power, the disc operates at 5,000 oscillations per minute; with an air motor, it operates at 2,500 oscillations per minute. Apply the segment disc and pass it slowly and evenly through the contact point.
